week five - monday

[ Considering Sara has had something of an unlucky time this past week, Hannibal (and possibly Will) have taken it upon themselves to at least try and cheer her up. For Hannibal, this of course means food, which he's been busily cooking for a while. For Will, this means alcohol, which is already set at the table for the two of them. They might have been waiting for a while, but at least Hannibal doesn't exactly frown on their bad habits. Too much. He can hardly judge when he's been in the kitchen for most of the day...

But eventually, he'll come out with plates balanced on his arms, and set an elegant, beautiful, and absolutely delicious smelling plate out for each of them. ]

Veal osso bucco alla Milanese, pate with dates and nutmeg mustard, and a side salad of prosciutto, Camembert and fig.

[ He nods with a warm smile, since he's actually quite glad to have cooked something for an occasion. Hannibal takes a seat, then motions for them to begin. ]

I hope you enjoy it.

[ ...of course, their liquid appetizers may mean they don't quite fully appreciate Hannibal's pretentiousness. He's at least used to it. ]

[ Look, if there's one other person in this town that appreciates booze like Will does -- it's Sara. This is part of why he took a while to move out, she was a good person and he really did appreciate the company. He considered them friendly, if not yet friends. Still, needs must and Hannibal's the only person really equipped to deal with Will on a 24/7 basis.

Then there was Ezio who, uh, Will sort of knew was a killer but he didn't think the guy would do this. Letting Higekiri take the fall, then making Sara kill him and acting like it was nothing by flirting with her? Even Will, with his abhorrent manners, found it tasteless. There wasn't anything he could do about it though, enough problems to deal with and an inability to feign sympathy.

But he supposes ridding Sara of the burden is a step in the right direction, even if she is left in a bit of a bind. He requested high quality alcohol for this, finely aged whiskey that was smooth to taste and left a satisfying burn. Sharing it with Sara was the right thing to do, not to get them too drunk but to leave a nice buzz.

When Hannibal arrives, there's a small smile at the corner of Will's mouth from the alcohol and a slight flush to his face. His eyebrows raise and he feels his stomach grumble -- the only thing in there being the whiskey. ]

You requested veal from the Sheriff? [ -- ah. ] For the execution.
